![]() Who We Are The Massachusetts Wood Producers' Association began in 1952 as an organization of the primary wood manufacturing industry in Massachusetts. Membership began mostly with sawmill operators and associated industry foresters. Membership has since expanded to include logging contractors, secondary manufacturers, foresters, landowners, firewood dealers, associated industry representatives and concerned citizens. What We Do MWPA acts on behalf of its nearly 100+ members to enhance communication within the industry, to create a positive image of the forest products industry to the general public, to represent the industry in the legislative process, to raise funds and act in a timely manner to meet industry needs. MWPA seeks to create unity to tackle problems of the forest industry in Massachusetts. 2012 Board of Directors President- Jeff Poirier 413-296-4546 jeffberkshirehardwoods.com Vice President- Fred Jajko 413- 446-7075 fredjajkoswp@hotmail.com Secretary- Kristen Armstrong 603-352-9711 karmstrong@wjcox.com Treasurer- Shane Bajnoci 413-549-1403 forestry@cowls.com Executive Director- Kent Lage 617-797-6388- kentlage@netscape.net
